BMMS UCLan Mountain Medicine Winter Webinar Series

We’re back! The Mountain Medicine Winter Webinar Series returns in October 2023 for a fourth year! Thanks to support from the British Mountain Medicine Society (BMMS), University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), the Alpkit Foundation and Vertebrate Publishing, these events are FREE to all!
Like previous years, each webinar will last for one hour and feature a talk from a fascinating guest speaker. Plenty of time will be set aside for questions and comments at the end!
CPD approval is being sought and a certificate of attendance will be provided to those who complete the feedback questionnaire. This will be FREE to BMMS members and £3 to non members.
All webinars will begin at 2000 GMT.

One Man's Legacy

Mike Dixon's new book "One Man's Legacy" is the long awaited biography of Dr Tom Patey. A GP in Ullapool, Tom made an enormous contribution to the development of climbing in Scotland as well as the Alps and Greater Ranges. But more than that, he was a fascinating character - a musician, storyteller and raconteur - the life and soul of any climbing group!
